How amazing is this?

When I first saw this installation I immediately thought fascia. Scar tissue. Adhesions. Tension.

When you see people walking through it, I'm reminded of biotensegrity, strength, flexibility, stretch and rebound.

Reminds me of what happens within the tissues and pelvis post hysterectomy or c-section or any kind of surgery or any scar tissue formation.

Also, the internal adaptations to our habitual patterns of movement and areas in the body holding tension.

Imagine the forces at play in the areas of attachment to the building in this case. But also within the body - between bony structures, fascial tissue and the viscera.

Tension and scar tissue play a role in the alignment of your organs - think bladder and bowel, digestive tract, lungs.

I wish I had been able to experience in person. To kick my shoes off and crawl through it and feel the bounce would have been amazing!

One thing is for sure - cellotape is strong stuff!
