Here’s What Inspires Me To Walk More

I seem to have a radar for podcasts, books and blogs on walking.

Maybe it’s the pilgrimage element, the quietness, the overcoming struggles or the curiousity that draw me in.

For a while is was the biomechanics and the physical aspects of walking.

Ultimately though, I like the pace and I really like that walking is LOW TECH and SLOW.

You are meeting the world at ground level.

Here are a few people who are sparking my inspiration to walk more:

Ben Pobjay:The Marathon Earth Challenge

You can read about Ben’s incredible journey from being morbidly obese to now attempting to set a world record by doing a marathon in nearly every country

The Salt Path, The Wild Silence and Landlines by Raynor Winn

Wild by Cheryl Strayed

Wilding by Isabella Tree

I have never found reading about soil so fascinating and alluring. I now look at soil and earthworms with intrigue and wonder!

Born To Walk: The Transformative Power Of A Pedestrian Act by Dan Rubinstein

Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall
